Principal’s Message

Welcome to Sangster Elementary!  

Sangster Elementary is located on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish, specifically the Esquimalt Nation and Songhees Nation.  We recognize the First Nations people, and the territory on which we are grateful to live, learn, and play.

Sangster is home to fourteen divisions as of September 2024, including the district’s Nature Kindergarten program. We are fortunate to be located near an old growth forest and just up the road from Esquimalt Lagoon, which is the ideal setting for the Nature Kindergarten program and outdoor learning at all levels. Our school is filled with an amazing group of educators, kind and innovative students, and a dedicated parent community. 

At Sangster, we strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.  Our school code of conduct highlights our belief in being safe, respectful and kind, creating a positive school culture and engaging learning environment.
